When our daughters were teenagers, we created a family safe word—a simple way for them to say, “I need you,” without having to explain why. No matter the situation, they could trust that we would always show up.

The word we chose was inspired by a character from New Girl named Julius Pepperwood.

What started as a playful family joke became something much more meaningful—a reminder of trust, connection, and knowing you’re never alone when it matters.

When we named our vacation home, we wanted it to carry that same feeling.

Pepperwood Place was created to be a place where you can arrive, relax, and feel at home.

A space designed for slowing down, reconnecting, and making memories with the people who matter most.
